DBA was appointed by Silverburn Shopping Centre to deliver access improvement works aimed at improving egress from the shopping centre. This involved a detailed assessment of the surrounding road network, supported by traffic modelling to identify existing constraints and opportunities for improvement. DBA developed improvements at key constraints, this included widening and improving the junction with Peat Road, improving operation for both vehicles exiting the shopping centre and bus movements from the bus station. Additional work focused on improving exit arrangements from the multi storey car park and this included road improvements and engagement with Glasgow City Council Traffcom to agree enhancements to traffic signal operation.
