DBA civils department were involved in the overall levels and drainage design for this tightly bound brownfield site. DBA structures department were involved in the full structural design and SER certification of the building.

This retail development comprises of retail space on the ground floor with storage and welfare space on the upper floor. The building blends contemporary steel framing with a traditional elevation style. The building is constructed on reinforced concrete strip foundations, with an in-situ poured reinforced concrete ground floor slab.

The street facing elevation of the building comprises of braced steel framing with composite deck concrete upper floor slabs and timber roof trusses. The retail store to the rear is a single storey braced steel frame building with metal deck roofing. Masonry infill is built around the steel framing with additional wind posts where required. The single storey roof also houses an enclosed plant area accessed via the upper floor. 

Project Timescale: Design commenced in 2020 and the building was completed in September 2023.
