DBA were employed by the Church Commissioners for England to assist in the delivery of this strategic residential and commercial development which is proposed to comprise approximately 1,000 houses, 40,000sq.m. of commercial unit, retail store and primary school.
DBA involvement:
The scheme was awarded Outline Planning Consent in 2010. DBA were employed to develop the outline planning drawings into a detailed design and to obtain all necessary approvals to enable the scheme to be marketed and delivered on site. We lead and manage a design team which comprises Geotechnical Engineer, Landscape Architect, Ecologist and CDM Coordinator to complete the detailed design of construction drawings. We prepared the Roads Applications; United Utility application for drainage approval; and Environment Agency applications for culverts. We have also prepared detailed construction drawings for the roads, drainage and SUDs ponds and negotiated with Statutory Authorities and Multi-utility suppliers to design diversionary works and gas, water, electricity and telecoms supplies to the development parcels.
Going forward to hope to be retained by the residential developers to undertake the detailed designs for the housing sites.
