Internal and external alterations and refurbishment works to the dwelling at Cloch Lighthouse, including the restoration of derelict outbuildings.

DBA Structures department played a key role in the structural design for a range of internal alterations to the property including SER certification. The work included transforming the existing “engine room” into an open-plan entertaining space, featuring a vaulted ceiling and a glazed screen with views over the waterfront.

The project also involved the refurbishment of derelict outbuildings on the site, converting them into habitable living areas. In addition, DBA was responsible for the drainage design of a new outfall system discharging to the sea.

Project Timescale: The project began in 2020 but experienced delays due to lockdown restrictions during that period. It was ultimately completed in 2025.
